After a knee injury at the end of high school, Josh fell away from sports, fitness and healthy lifestyle choices. After taking the initial steps to work through depression and anxiety, he decided to dedicate his life to working with others. Graduating with a Bachelor’s in Music Therapy, he began using music in
a therapeutic relationship to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of individuals with various disabilities across the life spectrum.
Josh also spends much of his time working in both music and youth ministry. Once deciding to refocus on his personal health and fitness after his injury, there were years of excuses and inconsistent gym routines. A change in perspective and self-image allowed Josh to rediscover a passion for training. Since joining Kicked Up Fitness and interacting with the team, Josh has discovered a new passion and motivation for personal training and helping others meet their own training and healthy living goals.
